Erietta Vordoni graduated with the highest honors in dos- sier-portfolio and in nude from the Athens School of Fine Arts (the most prestigious university art school in Greece) with professor Yannis Moralis. She also excelled in set and costume design at the Athens School of Fine Arts. She con- tinued her studies with a scholarship from the Academy of Athens at the École Nationale Supérieur des Beaux-Arts in Paris under the tutelage of painter Leonardo Cremonini and sculptor César. In the mid-nineties she was granted a life- long atelier by the French Ministry of Culture.

In 1997 she was awarded the higher painting prize by the avant-garde Salon de Montrouge, Paris, France. She also received a painting prize by the Nouveau Musée National of Monaco.

She has given 38 solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions mainly in Europe, America and Asia.

Also, she was the ambassador of Greece in an exhibition at the Hellenic Mu- seurn of Melbourne, Australia.

In Greece, among other places, she participated in exhibi- tions at: Benaki Museum, Vorres Museum, Numismatic Mu- seum of Athens, Athens War Museum, Gennadius Library, Melina Mercouri Foundation, B&M Theocharakis Founda- tion, Athinals-Pierides Foundation, Technopolis City of Ath- ens, Museum of Hydra. Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki.

Public Installations

Relief composition at the underpass between Efessou St and Ayion Panton St, under Syngrou Avenue, Athens, Greece (the underpass with the swallows).

Sculptural composition entitled “Sky Hunters” in Kifissias Avenue, Philothei, Athens, Greece.

Set and Costume Design

She participated in several theatrical productions as set and costume designer. Among her later works are: the set and costume design for Igor Stravinsky’s “The Tale of a Soldier” at the Palamidi Fortress, Nafplio Festival and the costumes for “The call of Prometheus – 1821”, a production of Megaron – Athens Concert Hall, and for “The Enigma of the Lost God”, all under the direction and dramaturgy of Christophoros Christophis.

Jewelry

Vordoni participated with her jewelry, functional sculptures, in the exhibition “Fruits and Symbols” at the Numismatic Museum of Athens. She also participated in the exhibition “The year of Gold” organized by the platform A jewel made in Greece at the Zappeion Mansion of Athens, an exhibition that also traveled to Shanghai for the International Expo and to New York at the Museum of Arts and Design.

Works by her can be found in many of the aforementioned museums and in well-known private collections, such as the Pierre Dreyfus, the Agnelli, the George Stathopoulos, the D. Pierides, the FRAC and the CNAP. Recently, the National Gallery of Greece has acquired one more painting from the artist’s latest work.

She lives and works in Athens and in Paris,
